About Adam Gill
Since graduating from Royal Holloway University of London in 2005 I have been fortunate to work across a diverse range of broadcast and film projects. In this time I have acquired a wealth of knowledge and experience which has helped shape my ability as a both an editor and film maker.
I began my career at Channel 4 Television where over a period of five years I worked my way through the ranks from runner to junior editor. On-lining promos, creating marketing reels and re-versioning programming, the role proved to be the perfect training ground for a young editor looking to develop.
With a desire to work on long form programming, in 2010 I joined Input Media. There I worked as both an offline and online editor on a wide range of programming for clients which included, Sky Sports, ITV, ESPN, Boxnation, The F.A, UEFA and the ITF.
Whilst working for Input Media I developed a strong working relationship with Pitch International. Amongst an array of documentary sports series In 2012 I worked with Pitch on a feature length documentary film about former world champion cyclist Mark Cavendish. Mark Cavendish, Born to Race was distributed by Universal and after it's initial DVD release was broadcast on ITV4.
With a view to exploring new projects and opportunities, in 2013 I launched Figure Four Films. Through the company, I have since produced and directed Two Falls to a Finish, a two part documentary mini-series broadcast on Challenge TV in 2015 and An Extraordinary Gentleman a documentary about WWE 'Superstar' Jack Gallagher which was broadcast on FreeSports in January 2018.
Along side Figure Four Films I continue to work as a freelance Editor for various clients. Over the last four years I have worked on several engaging documentary series, helped oversee the launch of magazine show FIFA Football and cut a number of feature length documentaries. One such documentary was Crossing The Line, which won the British Sports Journalism award for 'Television Sport Factual or Feature Programme 2017' and for which I personally received a nomination for, 'Best Editing of a Documentary Feature' at the Madrid International Film Festival in 2017.
I am always eager to to work on new projects. If you are interested in working with Figure Four Films or would like to use me in an editing capacity please don't hesitate to contact me.
